The Washington Commanders defeated the Detroit Lions Saturday night at Ford Field! The 45-31 victory has advanced The Commanders to the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991-1992 NFL season at RFK Stadium!

As the team continues to get closer and closer to the Super Bowl, there are many highlights from this game that will carry the team through! A few of the notable stats provided by The Commanders include; winning their first ever road playoff game in Detroit, becoming the 11th team in NFL history to record 25 postseason wins, winning two road playoff game in a single postseason for the first time in franchise history, rushing for three touchdowns which is the most in franchise history in a postseason game since 1992 (shout to Terry McLaurin for a 58-yard touchdown!), scoring 45 total points which ranks No. 2 all-time in franchise history in a single postseason game and becoming the first team to force five or more turnovers in a playoff game since the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023!

Additionally this season’s new Head Coach Dan Quinn is only head coach in franchise history to win two playoff games in his first season with the franchise. He has also joined Joe Gibbs, George Allen and Ray Flaherty as the only head coaches in franchise history to win multiple playoff games.
