More than 30,000 Los Angeles residents have been forced to evacuate their homes due to the devastating wildfires in Southern California. This number includes Hollywood celebrities such as Billy Crystal and his wife who have lost their homes in the fires. Billy Crystal shared a statement with CNN saying, “Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the fire fighters and first responders. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people, and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”

Jay-Z has filed a new motion to dismiss a lawsuit accusing him of raping a 13-year-old girl. His lawyers have requested a monetary sanction be placed on the plaintiff’s lawyer Anthony Buzbee, alleging that he failed to adequately investigate the woman’s allegations before he filed the lawsuit. The lawsuit against Carter was first filed back in December by a woman who alleges that Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sexually assaulted her at a VMAs party in 2000. Jay-Z issued a statement via Roc Nation denying all accusations and claims it is a “blackmail attempt” by Buzbee. Buzbee responded with a statement saying, “They think they can bully or intimidate counsel for victims by filing meritless and frivolous pleadings full of lies and half-truths. Again, they are dead wrong. We will address the utter lack of merit with his filing with the Court, rather than with the press.”
