If you’re still a fan of Lauryn Hill, you’ll be pleased to know the soul singer is going on an acoustic tour (which means none of those unrecognizable arrangements that fans always complain about after seeing her in concert).

Hill announced a seven show trek, kicking off next month in Washington, D.C. then touching New York City. The tour, “Small Axe: Acoustic Performance Series” launches February 13  and ends February 25th.

The question is: Will the fans show up? Ms. Hill has a reputation for late appearances and bad performances. Yet, she continues to draw crowds who want to hear those classic songs from “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”

Check out the tour dates and get your tickets soon (they went on sale Jan. 10):

Feb. 13 – Washington, DC – Howard Theatre

Feb. 14 – Washington, DC – Howard Theatre

Feb. 17 – Brooklyn, NY – Rough Trade

Feb. 20 – New York, NY – Highline Ballroom

Feb. 23 – New York, NY – Highline Ballroom

Feb. 25 – New York, NY – Blue Note (early show)

Feb. 25 – New York, NY – Blue Note (late show)

Are you Beauties going to check out the tour?

Nick Cannon Shades Mariah Carey In Corny New Song

Just when you thought Nick Cannon couldn’t get any cornier, he goes and records a record with a not-so subliminal diss towards Maria Carey. Sigh. And he just said he wouldn’t!

While we’re fans of Nick (we know it doesn’t seem like it) we just can’t get with this Mally Mal-produced song that sounds like somebody’s grandpa rapping in the 90s. We hope Mimi gets in the studio and drops another “Obsessed” song aimed directly and Mr. N’ Credible.

“Had her hitting high notes, ask my wife/Ooh I mean my ex — I got her checks,” he raps. What and what?

Just too damn cute to be this corny.

Sevyn Streeter Single

Sevyn Streeter is back with new music.

The 28 year-old songstress is enjoying a new relationship with rapper B.o.B and telling everyone, “Don’t Kill The Fun.” Sevyn released the full version of her upbeat tune featuring Chris Brown and we’re ready to dub them the modern-day Marvin and Tammi for today’s millennials.

“Don’t Kill The Fun” is the first single off Streeter’s highly anticipated debut album and with the 2013 hit song,  It Won’t stop already under her belt, we’re anticipating a disc full of female anthems, sexy tunes and club bangers.

Ariana Grande & The Weeknd Impress With Acapella Version Of “Love Me Harder”

They don’t call Ariana Grande a mini-Mariah Carey for nothing. The girl can SANG! In this intimate performance with The Weeknd, Ariana begs that special someone to “Love Me Harder.” She definitely isn’t talking about Big Sean because from what we’ve seen, he’s definitely giving her the loving she needs.

Check out Ariana as she embarks on “The Honeymoon Tour” tour kicking off next month.
