Dr. Dre Domestic Abuse: Michel'le Opens Up About Relationship

The second installment of the reunion special of “R&B Divas: LA” was quite a real tearjerker. The ladies brought the out the claws and stiletto nails for the last time but also managed to shock the audience with revelations about their pasts. Wendy Williams hosted the segment again and brought out the good, bad and ugly in all of the ladies but in typical diva fashion, they all ended on a positive note and proclaimed to be “sisters for life”.

Dawn’s Weakness

We started part two of the reunion special just where we left off. Dawn was still noticeably absent and when her absence was brought up again, Michel’le said that she was disappointed that Dawn wasn’t present but even more disappointed that she quit the monologues to please Kelly. Mo chimed in and stated that Dawn needed the monologues more than anybody and agreed that she was wrong for quitting. She also labeled Dawn “weak” and surprisingly (or not) the rest of the divas agreed. Too bad Dawn wasn’t there to defend herself on this one, but I guess she gave up that right when she decided not to show up to the reunion (and perhaps it was for the best).

Kelly Mends Her Relationship With The Rest Of The Divas

While they were on the subject of the monologues, Kelly admitted that she regretted not being there to watch the the Divas perform even though she said she would. She was still rallying for her and Dawn’s “Not Your Mama’s Monologues” and showed a sneak peak of the production to the cast. The monologues were extremely emotional as Kelly opened up about being molested by her family member when she was only three-years-old.

After watching the footage, all of the ladies were brought to tears, especially Mo, who still felt a special connection to Kelly despite their recent altercations. Mo explained to everyone that Kelly’s battles in her childhood were the main reason why she was so angry in her adult life. Kelly admitted that she felt betrayed by the divas since they were the first people she opened up to about her past aside from her husband and from this experience, she felt violated all over again. Kelly and Mo continued to talk over their problems and agreed that they were sisters for life! The love between Kelly and Mo must have touched everyone in the room because Kelly then went on to hug all of the ladies and explained why she loved them all so much.

Michel’le Admits To Being Abused By Dr. Dre

After what seemed to be an intense therapy session turned into a love fest, the attention switched to Michel’le who opened up about her abusive relationship with Dr. Dre. She admitted that she had plastic surgery and a fake nose as a result of the abuse she constantly endured from Dr. Dre while they were together. She revealed that Dr. Dre broke her nose and gave her three black eyes. She later went on to talk about her next relationship with Suge Knight, who she felt restored her self esteem and helped her believe that she didn’t deserve to be beaten in the sake of love.

At the end of the reunion, it was time for the big reveal: an R&B Divas Tour featuring Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Dawn Robinson, Chante Moore, Brownstone and Keke Wyatt! Sounds amazing already… where do we sign up!?
